my dad bought me this tv in november (19 inches, $230)
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?...
on black friday. on that tv, when i try to put it on fullscreen mode, the picture cuts off like 3 inches on both sides. now i want a bigger one (26 inches, $464)
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d... to enhance my videogaming experience. that tv has all the inputs so i can plug in my gamecube and ps2 at the same time. and the picture is very crisp and clear. but he bought the other tv so recently, and he just bought me a ps2 yesterday, so i dont think he'd get me another big purchase this soon. what should i do? i really want that tv. and what should i do with the old one? i'm 14 btw.
I want a new tv, help?
sell the old one on ebay and save up the rest of the money yourself. that is what i always do if i need something new
Reply:It is the way the TV projects the image when you go to wide-screen.
The wide-screen format in the TV is 16:10 where the format of the PS2 is 16:9.
If you are so unhappy with your Dad's choice , why not tell him.
I would personally be hurt if I spent that sort of money on my child and she just sold it because she didn't like it.
What you need to do is go and speak with your Dad and ask him first if he minds if you sold it and only then should you sell it on the condition you are going to work for the TV you do want and earn it.
NOTE :
Personally I agree with Brian A.
Get a Job , etc.
Reply:Righton on Aiden B. Work for it! I don't think the 19" TV is yours to sell.
Get a job
Earn money
Pay taxes
Purchase goods and services
That is the way of the world my dear
Reply:How about you be happy with what your parents got your spoiled ***. when you say cut off do you mean it's a 4x3 picure with black bars?
I personally think you need to be happy with what daddy got you.
although If I were 14 and my parents got me all this nice stuff, and I bitched that I didn't like it, Id have had it taken away.
