DLP Hd Tv??

I just purchased a 42" Toshiba LCD HD TV...we play games (xbox 360, Wii, etc) and we watch alot of movies and direct tv. We are thinking we need something a little bigger, plus we might be purchasing a home theatre system. We called the store where we purchased the tv and its to late to return it. We then saw the Samsung 61" DLP HD TV model number HL-T6176S for $1499. we paid $1399 for our LCD tv. should we just try and sell the tv and just get the DLP Tv? what would you do? whats the pros and cons of the two and what is the difference? Any help would be great! THANKS!

DLP Hd Tv??
I got the Sony KDS-60A3000 for $1,700. Its a 60" 1080p projection hdtv. (Its not DLP its actually SXRD). I couldnt be happier. One word of warning, the main (really the only) problem with a projection HDTV: You cannot mount it on the wall--you need to put it on a stand or table. The reason I went with the Sony instead of the slightly cheaper Samsung %26amp; Mitsubishi models is the cnet review below.
Reply:I'd keep the TV set....Why take a loss on your brand new TV?

You can ALWAYS use it as your 2nd TV in the house, when you Get the one you want in a couple years...

Then the technology will be better and less costly......

And everybody always needs a backup TV....

CLOUT is 100% Misinformed....The DLP is the sturdiest technology out there amongst the others that Burn....

And SONY never made the DLP TV set....NEVER.
Reply:you don't want the DLP tv, it's an inferior technology and being discontinued by most of the major manufacturers. Sony just announced they won't make these kinds of sets any more. DLP means Digital Light Projection and it's a projector type tv. Technically this thing will take up alot more space because it is more than 12" deep, gets dirty inside, uses lenses and mirrors which can get out of alignment, has a screen that can get damaged or contaminated easily, has poor brightness and contrast compared to the lcd. etc etc etc.

There's a reason why it's less expensive than the LCD.

Good luck!
