Tv Aerial?

The antenna input of my tv has sort of come loose to when i watch analogue tv when digital tv desides not to work. But i get a poor picture with analogue tv now.. Is there a way to fix it without getting a new tv? Like now... Theres a storm so digital tv wont work so i switch to analogue which works fine. I just need to know how to fix the tv aerial so i dont have to take it to a tv place and pay a rediculous price for something that i could possibly do myself

Tv Aerial?
What's probably happened is the Antenna Input going into your TV's Tuner has broken loose from where it was soldered in.This is a very common problem. You can try to place a Washer over the threaded stub, and place it against the back of your TV, then, get a Nut that will thread onto it, and gently screw it onto the Stub. Then, once it's almost tight, hold the Stub in place with a pair of Needle nose Pliers so it won't move, then, take a small crescent wrench, and tighten the Nut tightly to the back of the set.If you tighten the Nut without securing the Stub, it will just twist right off. This may or may not work, and it will only be a temporary fix. Does your TV have RCA type Video and Audio inputs ? If so, then maybe you can hook your Antenna into a DVD or VCR, and use it to change Channels, and just set your TV for Video or Aux Input. The only other alternative is to have the Connector re soldered, or the Tuner to your TV replaced, and yes, that will cost some Money.Hope this helps !
Reply:I had the same problem but this was when the digital top boxes just came out and it didnt cost me that much, i spent £45 and that was new wire, ariel, and labour as it took them around twenty five minutes.
Reply:Buy a new TV Feb, 14-09 all of America's going digital anyway, it will just be snow then, fixed or not!
