S Video To TV - Use FN F8 but no Slide Show?

I have a Dell Inspiron 600M, Windows XP





I have used S Video previously to display slide shows from my pictures with Windows 2000.





But with XP I can:


- get the picture on my TV


- scroll through them with my up/down arrows





But the slide show plays on my laptop , not on the TV.





When I press FN F8 the picture on the TV blinks, but still no slide show on TV.





Also, in Display /Settings/Advanced/Monitors I select Generic TV for Monitor 2 and check Extend my desktop onto this monitor.





Assistance is hereby solicited and greatly appreciated.
