LCD TV's and store warrenties?

Bought an LCD TV 14 months ago and the sales rep told me 1 year warranty and I have to buy extended warranty. Tell him don't have to buy anything I dont need. Well in month 14 the TV stopped workjing. Went to the store and was toldI should bought the extended warranty coz its now outta the 1 year warranty and need to get it to a repair shop and pay myself. There is nothing they can do. Phone arounf and no repair shop wants to repair as they say its not worth it. I have a bit of knowledge on electronics and now what do I have to loose, I open and see if there are any fuses, but no it has voltage switches etc. I try google the TV to attempt to repair. Guess what the TV has a 3 year warranty, not 1 year as stated by the store and my warranty is screwed. Do I have a claim against the store for misrepresentation?

call the manufacture of the TV, also call your state atty, general
Reply:I bet you you bought it from us (Best Buy). Yeah we mostly assume that all the tvs have a 1yr limited warranty. Its uncommon to come with a 3yr. As for your question, you could sue them for that but you would probably loose the case since it is probably in the owners manual and probably on the box. I visited that site that is against Best Buy and the main guy won his case but it lasted a couple of weeks and such.
Reply:You cannot hold the store liable for any claims of misrepresentation....

While they may THINK it has a one year warranty, that comes from the FACT that most TV sets only have a one year warranty....

You should look at the instruction manual and warranty cards that they provided you with. It gives you the TRUTH about your warranty.
