Tv experts need help repairng my tv?
If I were you, I would just go ahead and buy the new one now. I couldn't tell you how to fix it if you paid me. You have to have electronics experience, be able to read a schematic, and skill with a VOM, among other things.

Besides, Daewoos are a piece of junk and weren't made to be serviced. No parts available either. You done got what you paid for, my friend. Next time, perhaps you'll spend a little more.
Reply:Peachy is trying to say " don`t you dare by-pass the on / off switch and use the wall socket switch as a temp measure !!!, Of course if you are not financially challenged then take Peachy`s very good advice and get your new one early !!

Cheers Pete.

Look TV Tech that description of yours is cruel !!! we can not get bargains like that jn Australia !! I was almost drooling and making travel plans to come to the States !!

Cheers Pete
Reply:If it's still under warrantee, put it in for free repairs. If not, it is unfortunate that most modern electronics are so miniaturized and integrated that they cost more to repair than to replace.
Reply:It's toast. This is god's way of telling you it's time for a new TV.
Reply:[laughs] Welllllll, you don't have much of a choice anymore my friend....If the button inside fell off, there's no way to restore operation without some time and investment into the old TV....

And you might as well RE-Invest it into your new TV....
