Pc out to TV: 1080I=blurry 1080P=Clear but it changes my PC LCD to 1920x1080 pan and scan. Workaround?

Ok, specs.

My PC lcd Native res is 1680x1050

My Samsung TV LCD native res is 1920x1080

Geforce 7900gt

If i change the res for the TV to 1920x1080p is changes my PC LCd to 1920x1080 and its pan and scan

If i change the PC LCD to its native res, the TV's turns to 1680x1050 1080i, and the screen is blurry.

If i change the PC LCD to its native res, i cant adjust the TV res any higher then my LCD res. And i guess it seems the TV res always matches the PC LCD res.

So right now the best i can do is 1680x1050(i) and that seems a waste since my TV will go so much higher.. not to mention Interlaced is blurry.

Im assuming this is a limiation of my card?

And do you know if PowerStrip can fix this?

Or do you know any workaround for this problem?

its a limitation of your monitor. you cant have it sync to your monitor and display the highest res of your TV, because your TV can go higher than your monitor.

turn off your monitor, and let it do native res on the TV, which is 1920x1080p.

the only real solution is to be using a 1920x1200 monitor.
