Circuit City TV warranty issue.?

We purchased an RCA HDTV monitor about 3 years ago and purchased the 5 year extended warranty plan. The tv broke over a month ago and the repair man has been out 5 times to no avail. We were finally given an authorization code to get a new TV, however, Circuit city no longer sells this TV or anything close to the specifacations. Everything is plasma or DLP now. Our TV cost us $1000 + $400 for the warranty when we purchased it, can we expect a $1000 credit or a replacement TV with the same price? Is this going to be a battle? Any tips?

Circuit City TV warranty issue.?
NO, do not expect to get a replacement TV at the same price that you paid four years ago. CC will offer you a make %26amp; model that they deem is the equivalent. If you reject this offer, your only recourse will be to accept a gift card in the amount equivalent to the price of the substitute that they feel is a reasonable replacement. Good luck with CC. You'll need it!
