i recently bought a samsung lcd tv and home theatre. now the tv is connected to the theatre via a hdmi lead and an optical lead. however i have a standard sky set top box and have connected it via scart lead to my tv. Now digital tv and analogue tv are great, but when i watch sky after about 30 mins it goes out of lip sync. when i switch over to digital tv and then back it is ok for another 30 mins or so. What am i doing wrong please help.

all the newest receivers have lip sync adjustments. the delay
comes from the time it takes the tv to process the video signal compared to the time it takes to process the audio especially if digital hookup is not coming fron tv,but from a set top box to a receiver. Have you ever changed the channel up one station the back one real quick and it replays audio you already heard? well thats because of a buffer . that explains how it could be insync one munute and not the next.
Reply:Don't think you are doing anything wrong the weather can do this it can affect sky in various ways
